CAD/CAM

There is a growing trend towards solid based machining taking place at the moment. Having recognized this trend five years ago, we decided to take the plunge. In a nutshell, the key benefit of solid based machining is speed of NC programming. The ability to directly load the solid model and extract feature information from it. From conception to finished part, manufacturing time is reduced tremendously.

We employ state of the art in CAD/CAM capabilities. We are a licensed user of world renowned EDGECAM. Edgcam's advanced features make it the perfect choice in an ever changing environment. It's associativity to all major CAD programs, makes it ideal, but its real strength is in solids and feature recognition. Design changes, whether at our end or yours, are easily accommodated.

We also use a light version of Solidworks (Exchange Works, Part Modeler) for solid modeling. Upgrade to full version will take place as demand increases.

For communications to our CNC machines, it is done mostly through EDGECAM, and when program files require DNC, we are equipped with Multi-DNC, by Expert Technologies. Simply the best in DNC communications.
